So, got a new Toyota today - the formerly rather staid (in my book) Corolla.  This is a hatchback and it's pretty cute.  I love a hatch.

My old '06 Tacoma failed inspection due to a frame corrosion issue.  It is an apparently well-known problem, but not to me.  It seems to be an issue with the trucks alone, not cars,  Aargh.  I hoped to keep that old truck for many more years.

Love the new car though!  Wow, all the "modern" features.

I haven't bought a new car yet but Toyota has a great service plan for the first 2 years.

Just letting you know because I use to own a highlander, the service people are on commission actually the majority of the service writers are on commission.

I had a prepaid maintenace agreement when I made that deal, went to the service department for an oil change, he said to me, oh you need a 10,000 check up, you need a tire rotation, and he kept on naming them off, then he looked up my record and realized my agreement was prepaid and I guess I didn't need any of that............that was really too funny.

Enjoy your NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS on the new Toyota!  Woman LOL

Years ago I bought a used Toyota Celica as a second car ... gas was near $5 a gallon here at the time and I wanted a cute 4 cylinder car for errands etc.

I thought I'd be happy to get 3 years out of it .... and now 11 years later, it's still my second car and still going strong!    I'm surprised how many people have told me they once had one and were sorry they sold it!

Now I know what people mean when they say you just can't kill a Toyota!   Woman LOL

@Sweetbay magnolia  What kind of inspection? Just curious.  Wow a NEW car!!!  That is pretty exciting!

I drive a 21 year old Chevrolet van.  It only has 51,000 miles so I hope it gives me many more years. It is worth the upkeep. If I  ever buy a newer car it would be a Chevrolet Equinox I think.

Enjoy your car❤️🙂

Congratulations! I just bought my third RAV4 about a month ago. I was debating between that and the Camry but the RAV4 sits a little higher. The Corolla is a sharp looking car. I had considered that too.
