Took my grandson to the bus stop this morning, and just after the bus pulled away, I heard meowing. It's cold and snowy here this morning, and when I turned around to see where the sound was coming from, this poor wet shivering black kitten came running up to me. The other ladies at the bus stop said it's been hanging around there for about a week. Sigh.

I couldn't leave him there cold and frightened, so I scooped him up and took him home. Had to stop at the store to pick up kitten food for him. Called my vet, and we'll get him checked out this afternoon. This is the same neighborhood, and about the same time of year as I found another kitten 2 years ago and brought him home too. Wonder if they're brothers!?!

So, for now, he's toasty warm and well fed in his very own bedroom until I get the all clear from my vet that there's no FIV or other infectious diseases. Fingers crossed. He's a scrawny little cutie though, black with just little patches of a a few white hairs all over. Already trying to come up with a name!
