Re: New Generations Not Using Top Sheets on the Bed????

[ Edited ]

I would add, the choice of how one prefers to sleep and what one finds comfortable does not require the 'lazy' judgment, simply because different people make different choices. I'm pretty sure this topic has been discussed here before and it appears mileage varies now, just as it did before.

Clearly, most do not live in south Florida. I do use a top sheet, and frequently have it covering only my legs. Too warm for quilts and blankets here.

My DH does not like a top sheet.  He prefers to rap himself in a twin size comforter.  Go figah!  That is the reason I do not buy sheet "sets" just a fitted sheet and pillow cases.

And I wash everything in cold water.

Don't use top sheet. Just an unnecessary layer. Instead I use the top sheet to cover sofa seat when puppy jumps up.

Just curious...then you wash your comforter or blanket once a week @I am still oxox ? My washing machine won't wash a queen comforter. It just won't fit, so the top sheet keeps it fresh.🙂

I want cotton next to my body and always use a top sheet, wool blanket, comforter, and bed spread. I keep my bedroom cold at night, summer and winter.

I get that! I don't live in So Fla, but do need to sleep 'cool' so often just sleep under a lightweight woven cotton throw. I have several that I rotate while others are in the wash. Even in winter I don't like a lot of heavy bed coverings over me, though I enjoy the look of pretty bed coverings.

I like having a top sheet.  It is cool in temperature and I like that feeling.  Plus it will help keep my quilt cleaner.

One of our sons does not like top sheets.  Not sure why, but he never has.  I think he gets all twisted up in them or something.

I sometimes feel like I get wrapped up like in a cocoon.  Fight my way out of that top sheet sometimes.  But if I want a cover, when blankets feel too hot, still like my nice cool sheet.
