New Generations Not Using Top Sheets on the Bed????

Okay... maybe it's me because I'm older, but I think not!  I've read and also heard some sales people say that younger generations are not using top sheets when they make their beds.  My question would be, why not?  I can think of more cons than pros on not using one.

What is your thought on this?

Lazy attitude IMO.Yes top sheets. Wash bedsheets weekly, hot H20. I know 'new generations' don't wash hot nor weeklySmiley Sad

Re: New Generations Not Using Top Sheets on the Bed????

After many years of religiously making the bed with all of what were considered the 'appropriate' layers, I have to admit that I now often skip the top sheet too. I enjoy a fresh bed but absolutely hate changing out bedding. I have enough quilts, comforters and so on that I don't feel compelled to always use (and launder) a top sheet.

Oh I have to use a top sheet! One of my kids is like me and the other just kicks it off when visiting us.

My 19 year old son has never liked a top sheet.  He prefers a nice soft blanket and a quilt.  He is most certainly not lazy...

They do not like the feel of them.

It has nothing to do with lazy.

Never used a top sheet and did not grow up using one. I really do not see the reason

I guess if you have a comforter with a washable duvet cover it may work? We are old school and do use a top sheet, though.
