I think Hudson Yards is going to be a great addition to the city.

I wholehearedly agree!!!

To all those who don't like it.........that's cool. Don't come, it'll be fine without your visit. We're not as thin skinned as others.

I don’t think you understand what ‘thin-skinned’ means.

It means, for example, a native New Yorker hears the criticism,

which they might agree, but yet they are upset someone is

saying anything negative about their New York.

I don’t see that here.  I see people not liking the design, but that is

about the design. Nothing else.  There’s no thick nor thin skinned

about anything.

I am very aware of what thin and thick skinned means. My point was that there are people who get bent out of shape with any criticism of their home state or city. Look at the sensitivity of those who participated in the now defunct thread about ‘flyover states’. I am just saying, if you don’t like it, it doesn’t matter.

I’m sure the rights will be lifted out of pressure but....still.

It’s a public structure. In New York.

But I don’t see that in this thread.

I see dislike of the design but not of New York.

If there’s anyone ‘thin-skinned’...well, I just sayin...kinda ironic.

Seems like sort of a pointless use of precious and very limited urban space...

I also don't equate a lack of interest in this addition as an overall lack of support for NYC... I love and enjoy trips to Manhattan, but this won't be on my 'to-do' list anytime soon...
