I'm not certain how you plan on funding your trust accounts but Special Needs trusts for children are often set up as part of an insurance settlement and can be funded with millions.
What sites are you looking at? Television lawyer websites? You can usually speak to a probate lawyer and get a consultation for very little $.
Are these costs over the lifetime of the child administering millions of dollars? If so, that might be more reasonable. Is the attorney charging you anytime a check needs to be written?
You can discharge a retained attorney but read your contract. They may still be able to charge some limited fees. No one is stuck with an attorney for life. They work for YOU.
Ask your state bar assn for referrals. Also ask around friends/family who may have used a good probate lawyer.
