@Biftu

I totally understand...it happened to me.  Our neighbors right next door copied our exact front stone choice when they built.

I also spent a lot of time looking and choosing unique designs and colors so that the houses wouldn't look like cookie cutter copies.

I made sure not to choose what the previous homes did.

I was disappointed and sad.  6 yrs later, the fact still stands out to me every time I pull out of the driveway.

Unlike paint, it can't be changed at a later date.  Real stone is usually for the life of the home unless painted later...which no one really does around us.

It's house paint. Move on.

Re: Neighbor’s House Paint

I agree. It's paint. In Arizona everyone's house is either off white, gray or some shade of brown. We don't do colors so I guess it isn't an issue. We don't have window boxes or shutters. As long as it matches the roof and rock landscape I'm good.

My neighbors just did the same thing! Only, we both have siding.

I know I have good taste! Apparently,  so do you! @Biftu 😅

Re: Neighbor’s House Paint

I personally wouldn't be offended. It costs a lot of money to have a house painted, and if I like the color of someone's house, and it's just what I want, why not use it? With everything there is to be upset about in this world, that would be one of the least of them.

Seriously?  You're upset about paint color?  Talk about a First World problem.  It's paint.  It's not a life-threatening situation.  You have no control over the actions of other people so why bother getting upset over something you can't control.  Waste of time, effort and head-space.

@Biftu No I agree it is an awful thing to do!  How rude!  People deserve the right to be different without someone else stealing their "intellectual property!"  Which in my view is exactly what it is!

Had that happen when I was a kid but it was just trim and at least a couple houses down.  My mom and I were just sick--we were the first to paint a sort of dark sage green in the 60's.  Makes me angry to think about it!    Sorry it happened to you.

Re: Neighbor’s House Paint

@Biftu  On the other hand, your neighbors are painting it a color that you love, since you painstakingly chose it.  Wouldn't you rather see that each time you left your house?  What if their choice was some horrendous color?

Would you be happier?
