For those that gave suggestions and/or voiced concern...

I spoke to the Zoning Commission peson yesterday. She was aware of situation and had talked to local Board of Health. Came to find out she also knew about the email I sent re: the cousin of the officer threatening & thinking he's untouchable. I have a feeling that officer is going to tell his cousin to zip it!

Lady from the Board of Health came to my house today. I showed her correspondence from 2008 when I tried to go through the County to solve the issue. At that time the employee basically told me it's my problem & sent a letter to the offenders saying he didn't see it was a big deal but that there'd been a complaint.

She totally apologized; said he was set to retire when I was dealing with him. I think that made her more determined to help. She's sending an "official" letter stating ALL trash is to be put in cans with secure lids. NO bags, NO overflowing cans, NO construction material, NO putting out cans 3 days before pick up. Surprise, surprise, her sister works for the trash removal company so she's going to make sure the route audit was performed as promised.

The CS supervisor for the candle company had a bit of an attitude. "Really, what do you want us to do blah blah blah" Once I faxed both police reports I got a call back from her. She must have taken her anti-attitude pill because it was totally gone. I know they made calls to the Reps yesterday.

Did not know that it's mandatory we recycle. Have to get a special trash can-like bin with a lid. Guess I'll be ordering ours this week! LOL!

Yesterday trash didn't show up at end of street until around 2pm. They had it mostly in cans, but most without lids. More chance to blow out and over, but none did. No construction material put out. Neighbors probably think they can do this for a few weeks and then revert to their old ways. I think they'll be surprised.

I still can't believe all of this! If they would've contained their trash and/or picked up their trash off my property there'd be no complaints. Guess their kids will learn it's always good to do the right thing.

I'll still have to pick up those darn peanuts but I doubt that will happen again.

Thanks again for the suggestions, comments and support! Oh, I cancelled my free appointment with the psychiatrist! It's much more refreshing to be analyzed here and i don't even need to leave the house. Now I just need to find someone to patch all the holes I've punched in the walls...just kidding...
