I am having a wedding shower in the beginning of June for my boyfriends niece who will be getting married in late July. We have decided to have it at our house and I will explain to you what we are doing and having so hopefully you can give me some suggestions for food. I have decided to have a caterer do the main parts.

So far we have decided to have them do the following, they are making prime rib and providing these homemade rolls that they make that are delicious, for sandwiches. We are also having turkey, roast beef, ham, assorted cheeses and vegetables so if they don't like the prime rib they can chose from those to make sandwiches. They will also be making a huge vegetable platter, several of them. We are also trying to decide another option for people who don't eat meat. I have decided to make all the sides because I am a good cook and like my sides better. I know for sure I am making macaroni and cheese. I use 5 different kinds of delicious cheeses and it is really good. I am also doing cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto.

I have also hired the same company to supply me with all the plates, silverware, wine glasses and beer glasses and there will be a bartender serving 3 different types of wine, champagne and beer along with soda and tea. I will be using all my sterling chaffing dishes because through the years I have collected and inherited many beautiful pieces and I want to use my own.

For dessert we are having cupcakes made in about 5 different flavors from a local place that has the best cupcakes.

I need suggestions for other sides that will go with the other things I am having. I have some ideas of my own but would like to get some other suggestions.

Please don't be afraid even if you think it is expensive, that is fine, I am not worried about the price I would just like some great original recipes that my family hasn't seen. Even though we love our family recipes, sometimes we get sick of seeing the same thing.

I am also having my florist do arrangements all over my house that match the colors she will be using in her wedding.
