I went thru a divorce a few years ago, and right now still living with ex husband. House is up for sale. Now my ex wants to buy me out. I saw a very nice condo that I like, and am considering putting an offer in.

It's very hard to move on....my therapist says that since we have lived together for the past few years, I have never grieved the way you would when you first get divorced. We have counted on each other forever, however, he was not always the best husband and we fight alot. We were married 26 yrs, and have two children.

He would stay back in the house with my son, and I would take my teenage daughter with me (along with all the teen drama).

He has hinted about getting back together, so that we dont' have to sell the house. Truthfully, I have thought about it. Guess I am afraid of being alone. I have wanted to get out for the past few years, and now that it is about to happen, I am very fearful.

And my standard of living will certainly change....only have one paycheck, instead of two.

Any divorcees out there that went thru this? Are you happy that you are out and on your own?

Down to the wire now, and have to make some very tough decisions!!!
