I did a search for you for a home on the Cape and there are options that charge daily off-season (when you'll be there) and priced as low as $100 per night with 4 bedrooms (starts at a COTTAGE, so it's a big range from level of accommodations). Check it out, of course you'd need to look at photos and be sure it isn't a dump, but they have guest reviews. I put in for 3 days sometime during the last 2 weeks of September with 3-4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You can check out the site below and try different locations on the Cape and your needed amenities, etc...

If the link doesn't work, just try the main website weneedavacation and start from scratch. It's very user friendly.
Good Luck!

Thank you Deb1010again. Have you ever rented at Cape Code? I always say at hotels, so I dont have much experience with home rentals.

Years ago my DH and I had our first vacation on the Cape. I just wanted to wish you a wonderful time.... we had one.... and we loved the coziness of the B&B's we stayed at... one was at the ferry entrance to Martha's Vineyard and one was up the Cape and had the word ""lion"" in it and had been a home owned by an English sea captain (or renovated to look like one).... we loved the vacation and the ambience. Enjoy.

qvc chick: I travel with 3 other ladies often, and we like to stay at B & B's, if possible. Sometimes, it's hard finding 4 beds. What I have found in searching is to look for B & B's that advertise accommodations for families. Makes it an easier search. They'll often advertise 2 beds each in 2 adjoining rooms.

I live 15 minutes from the Cape. September is the best time to go in my opinion. I used to vacation there as a child in the 40's but times have changed and the Cape is much more commercial. Hyannis is a crazy place unless you like to spend your time shopping. My favorite places are Truro, Chatham and Wellfleet. I don't have to vacation there cause I can go there anytime.

After Labor Day the rates go down as does all the crazy traffic.
