I don't know about advice but I will tell you what I would do, or wouldn't do. If I am supposed to have money deposited or in my grubby hands on a certain day for something I have earned? Some of my bills are dependent on being on time and saying "so and so didn't pay me yet" doesn't usually cut it with my creditors or utility companies etc.
When I do work and have and oral or written agreement I make sure I follow my part of the agreement and I expect the other person(s)involved to do the same. If this has happened twice already? If it were me I would demand the money owed and say "I quit".

I absolutely agree..one more question. The woman I care for I adore, she has offered to pay me. (She doesn't know about me not getting paid). I don't want to lose her as a client. I am hoping I can just work for her, not this terrible agency. Since she's ill, I didn't want to upset her. I have been debating over letting her know whats going on. The next day I work for her is wednesday...Thanks so much for your input and I hope your wife and YOU are doing well!

I agree w/John. However, on the 2nd part, don't touch that since she has this woman's company in charge. Don't upset the woman you've been helping, don't put her in the middle of that.

When I worked briefly in home health we were given a time sheet that had to be signed by the patient or their family to verify we were there when we were supposed to be. When I had my knee surgeries the home health nurse and the PT both would have a sheet for me to sign every visit. Are you not getting something signed by the patient or their family when you are there?

Yes, I did and both the client and myself signed it. I faxed it to my boss and she confirmed she got it. I did everything I was supposed too..will be interested to see what she says this time. What a mess!

Good point HH, you're right, dad's workers all needed signatures, even the Visiting Nurses and Visiting Doctors. Good point.

When you have direct deposit, sometimes the first payroll does not go through (often it is a "test" submission). You may have an actual check some place.
I would not count the first payroll, since there seems to be a separate problem there.
Let us know what you find out . . .

Just heard from my boss. She apologized and said it takes 2 days to post and she will deposit mine 2 days earlier in the future. She also said she's happy I'm working for her and she appreciates the work I do. In the 4 years I have been working as a caregiver, this is the first I was told I was appreciated. It means alot..we all need to feel good about our work. Thanks for all your replies, they're appreciated!!

Oh, I'm glad it all worked out for you. Good people like you are so needed to help us care for our folks, and help us not get burned out. You're such a help. Thank you for all you do!
had to correct spelling.
