Need advice/comments about Mesa, Arizona area...

If anyone lives in or around the Mesa, Arizona area, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what are the best school districts (high school); where are the best neighborhoods/suburbs to live in? What's the Mesa, Az area like?

The reason I ask is, there's a possiblity of my dh being able to do a job transfer from the northeast (where we were both born and raised & lived most of our lives) to Mesa, Az. Neither one of us has ever been to Az. We are thinking of taking a vacation down there this summer to see what it's like.

Any info anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated (especially the best school districts/neighborhoods/suburbs questions I asked above). TIA
