Need a good Air Purifier

Need a good air pruifier, I found a dog and am keeping him until we can find a home for him. He looks like beagle basset mix and he is really shedding and this is causing my husbands allergies to really act up and I am hoping a air purifier will help. Does anyone have a good one that isn't real expensive.
