Need Sewing Machine Recommendation

I took a sewing class last night and was impressed with the machine that I was working on; it was a Baby Lock. I currently have a manual Singer machine, but would be very interested in an electronic one. I don't want a $2,000 machine or even one that embroiders. I sew clothes and liked the different features on this Baby Lock, like "needle up/needle down" when lifting your foot off the pedal, etc. The machine never jammed. I didn't get to use the button-holer, but I would imagine it's super easy. Any brand info you have would be appreciated.
