Hi everyone, haven't posted here in a while but am checking in. I really need advice. I have 4 dogs, an old Samoyed, 2-2 year old shihpoos and a 1 year old maltipoo. One of my shihpoos has these little flare ups of aggression with his brothers (the other shihpoo and the maltipoo). He has never hurt them, it's mostly lots of noise. He loves people and has never gone after another dog. I took him to obedience school and we have met with 2 animal behaviorists. No one seems to have any good advice to get him to stop. It only happens about once every week or two but it just happened and it shakes me up every time. Five minutes later, he and whoever he went after are playing and fine and I am still upset. Is this normal with 3 males? He doesn't bother my female Samoyed at all and he seems to love to play with his brothers 99% of the time. It's usually over a toy or sometimes attention or food. There is a lot of stress in the house these days as I am dealing with chronic pain issues and my husband is very unhappy at his job and gone 12 hours a day but he has done this off and on since he was little. I don't know what to do or if I am making too big a deal of it. My husband says its normal when you have multiple male dogs and that while he needs to be disciplined when he does it, that its not worth getting so upset over. When he does it, we just tell him "BAD" in a stern voice and make him lay by himself for a while. We never hit him or anything physical like that. If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.
