Re: Nationwide AOL Mail Outage

I thought something was going on with them.  I had issues with reading my emails yesterday into this morning and I couldn't sort by sender.   Seriously?  Dial up?  I didn't dial up still existed.

@chrystaltree

My service is definitely NOT dial up but it does still exist, especially in areas where they cant get wifi reception or for people who cant afford other services.

It sounds crazy, but 2.1 million people in the United States still use AOLdial-up to connect to the Internet. Beep-beep-beep. .

Re: Nationwide AOL Mail Outage

I wonder if they'll get it back up any time soon.  This outage seems longer than yesterday's.

Re: Nationwide AOL Mail Outage

I have Verizon FIOS.  For years, they handled e-mail, mostly without major problems.  Then, a couple of years ago, they turned their e-mail over to AOL.  BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The only good thing about it was that we were allowed to keep our Verizon e-mail addy, avoiding all the hassle associated with changing e-mail providers.  C'mon AOL!  Get your act together!!!!  (I know.....AOL doesn't read these forums!Woman Sad

Re: Nationwide AOL Mail Outage

Thanks for the heads-up, @momtochloeHeart

I didn't have any problems with my AOL e-mail yesterday, but today I'm having problems.

Just now when I tried to get in, I got an "error" message.

I tried again a few more times.

It finally brought up my messages, but when I tried to open one of them, everything froze up, and I got another error message.

So, no luck with it.

I'm in Wisconsin.

@Toppers3 good to see you my friend!  For what it's worth, it seems to be back up and running for me (and actually running well, no hesitations between whatever you are doing).  Maybe give it a try again and see if it's working for you too as others seem to be back online.

@Krimpette  Same thing happened to us. The only problem we ever had with Verizon was spam getting through. Very little spam would actually go into the spam folder.

The only good thing I can say about AOL is that the spam never gets through.
