A wildfire is burning on both rims of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.  It's such a beautiful, wild place, the thought of a fire makes me sick.  You enter the park at the rim but I've also taken a boat trip through part of the canyon and, on my last trip, we discovered a road to the bottom.

 Oh Wow !!  I pray everyone is safe ! Fires, Tornados, Floods etc. Such devistation and loss of life.

The 10,000 acre fire on the Navajo Nation HAS BEEN CONTAINED.  The evacuation order has been lifted

There is a recent non-fiction book called "Fire Weather" by John Vaillant. It tells the story of the Canada fires and how the colision of man and nature resulted in the devistation.
