I know! I just don't get it. I really don't. It started out very politely, because that's the way I am. I figured that one sign on the mailbox should have been enough. Then my, homemade (typed on computer), signs got more and more pointed.
The mail/parcel carriers get a laugh out of it. Of course, one of the signs says 'USPS, UPS, FedEx, and ONTRAC are always welcome'.
When they leave stuff there, like trying to sell siding or whatever, that really irks me. We don't really use the front door so something like that could be there unnoticed for a while and then somebody could come along and think nobody is there, and try to break in.
I don't ask for much and I virtually never ask anybody for anything ever. So it seems like I should be able to have some sort of control over my own property. Guess not

So it's a joke?
I thought at first it used to work for me. And I thought calls that ignored that could be reported somewhere. Right or wrong?

I get calls on cell and home, and I'm on DNC list. I've registered about 10 times.

Works for me. Sign up for your state's do not call as well as the national. Most people don't know that.
Does not work for me. I agree with Pristine Christine.

chickenbutt, I think I'd have to find the largest sign which states No everything- Amazon has them.. It's like those coming to your door can't read- there has to be a way to stop them..
put a fake snake on your porch, a big fake snake, dangling off the step.. LOL I'd run like mad from your house.

I don't want telemarketers leaving messages on my voice mail even when it's a recording. I have better things to do with time then check and delete unwanted messages. My landline no longer has voice mail but after 4 rings you will hear my fax. Don't like it then stop calling!

Ok I just got another one - this one from Maryland. I copied down the number, didn't ans. of course, since that doesn't help anyway. So far today I've had Florida and Maryland, Texas last night, who do I report them to? Got their numbers handy.
Do I call someone or email? Or what?

A few weeks ago, someone was ringing my doorbell and then loudly knocking. Of course I didn't answer. I found out that they (two of them) were a security company, knocking on neighbors' doors, looking for 'business'. Who knows what kind of 'security' they would install.........

Buy a fax machine and put some noise in their ear. Mine was from Office Depot and is a Brother fax - 575. It was $59. Plus, it's a great fax machine.

Our houses aren't facing in the right direction for solar. At least our roofs (where solar could be installed) aren't facing in the right direction. They're facing North, I believe. A couple of neighbors were told.
