Re: National Day of Unplugging

I'm always in, LOL. I made a pact when I finally got a cellphone and opened a Facebook account that they would never be an important part of my life. I enjoy Facebook and use my cell only when necessary, but I can certainly live without both.

I feel sorry for people who would not be able to cope without one or the other or both. Very sad, IMO.

Re: National Day of Unplugging

OK by me, but I'll bet if I go into a grocery store, restaurant or other public place tomorrow, there'll be dozens of people who didn't get the memo. I'd love some peace & quiet out in public, for a change, but I guess Pandora's been let out of the box & there's no going back.

I can't either and won't be unplugging.

I can't unplug totally. I always keep my phone close for family.

No thanks. But I wish some who seemed to think they need to yell into their phones to be heard would get the memo on a regular basis...

Re: National Day of Unplugging

I plan to spend quality time with my family anyway. I will still keep my phone on me (I don't have a smartphone).

The ban would include not being able to post or read here, right?
