Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet…no, we’re not

talking about a rainbow, but rather just some of the 400 different

shades of crayon colours Crayola has produced since 1903!

What a perfect opportunity to celebrate its bright and colourful

addition to the world with  Crayola Crayon Day!

They always came up with good names for their crayons.  Remember "Blue-Green" and "Green-Blue?"

How fun.  Lots of good memories using Crayola Crayons.  It makes me want to get out my coloring book.  Smiley Happy

Re: National Crayola Crayon Day

We have an attraction in Orlando called Crayola Experience that is unbelievably fun.

We took our grandchildren about 6 months ago.  Arrived at opening about 10 a.m. and left about 5 p.m. because Gramma and Grampa were worn down.  We did about 3/4 of the activities.

There are all sorts of crayon, color, art, clay, modern technology things to do related to crayons and color.  They have a snack bar with kid friendly foods and, of course a huge gift shop.  If you are visiting with children, I highly recommend.  And the adults have fun with all the projects too.

I remember when there was nothing better to a kid than a new box of crayons!

That smell and the colors!

Re: National Crayola Crayon Day

I also LOVE the smell.  I have a big wicker basket full of crayons for when the grandkids come.  Seems they just want to play with tablets or the computer now!  I love opening that kitchen cabinet that has the crayons in it and taking a big whiff!
