Yes it is & yes they are! I saw a National Geographic (I think) special. An adult hippo can easily bite a human in half with one bite! Scary isn't it?

 

So cute when little though huh?!!!

Yes, I was shocked to hear that too.  In fact animals that are herbivore tend to be more dangerous then carnivores.  Male elephants, Rhinos, Cape buffalo,Chimpanzees are very aggressive and can rip humans apart too.
