Head scarves.  I remember my grandmother and mother wearing them.  Once in a while my sister and I had to wear one on windy days.  By the time the 60's arrived we wanted nothing to do with them!!!

A young cashier shocked beyond belief I once dialed phone numbers without an area code.  She probably would have fainted if I told her my memories of there only being 5 digits to dial before our town got too big and needed  the two extra digit prefix.

@jubilant I started school in 1968 and it was only a one block walk from my home.  My best friend two doors down from me walked together daily.  One winter morning her Mother put a scarf like that above on her and I could not help but laugh and tell her she looked like her Mom.  She never wore it again and I have always felt bad that I laughed at her even if we were 6 years old.  We joked about it in our high school years but I still felt bad for laughing.  I never wore one after I started school but I do remember doing it at other times. YUCK.

I loved tetherball.

Do you recall 4-square?

Did we mention the game, Red Rover?

At the park, do you remember the leather string type things that were braided so we could put a key on the end of it?  Different colors.
