As I have mentioned before I hate NYE, but I love snacks and a cocktail. I have the makings for cosmos and chips and queso. If you are indulging tonight, what goodies are on the agenda ?  🍹🍷🍹

Don't snack in the evenings.......will have a slice of toast before bedtime... right now enjoying a splash of brandy with drops of Benedictine!  

(Benedictine - made by Monks in France early century - they still make it from wild berries and other things from nature's garden - touch of honey too)

We ordered take out for dinner and made piggies in the blanket and a salami, cheese and crackers platter for later. Drinks will be bottled water and diet cokes.

I try not to snack between or after meals.  If I have a dessert, it's immediately at the end of the meal rather than at some later point, in order to not overstimulate insulin, but tonight I did have a square from a keto semisweet chocolate bar.

I had some spiked eggnog with dinner. I may cut up some Brie for a snack.

We had calamari and mini crab cakes and a salad for dinner.

DH made apple pie for dessert.  I did the clean up, since pie dough and I have a VERY poor relationship.  🙄

My husband was at our local grocery store to get crackers for our cheese ball.  He called me and said, "you are not going to believe what they have here!"  Naturally, I replied, "what?" And he said, 'Shiner Bock in a can!"  Naturally, this Texas girl replied, "GET SOME!".  I never knew a Texas beer traveled this far into the Pacific!

Edited to correct myself:  Lone Star is the national beer of Texas.  Shiner Bock is a Texas beer made in Shiner, Texas!

i was drinking makers mark old fashioneds.

we had spinach balls, crab balls, chex mix, chips and dip, veggies and dip, and a charcuterie/cheese board.
