NOOK or KINDLE? I know that this has been debated endlessly -- but now I am shopping... which is your favorite and WHY.

I have another thread about IPADs, but am reading responses to that and am thinking that a smart phone and a good e-reader may more fit me. In my e-reader I want color as well as standard B&W, font size adjustable, good contrast in sunlight, etc. -- you can see I am a newbie! Also please tell me about title availability etc. Costs? Do you "own" the book or are you "borrowing" it...(yeah -- newbie here! {#emotions_dlg.blush}) & How about reading magazines and newspapers on it?

So sorry if this Nook/Kindle debate has been on the board other times -- I did not read those threads that I can recall, and am now in more of a shopping mood.
