Re: NO NEW POSTINGS ON FORUM

To everyone having issues posting here or elsewhere as well as with their email, this is my frequent reminder to please make sure all of your devices are completely updated.

When a website updates and your device does not, there may be glitches because they're no longer compatible.  To fix, update to the latest operating system update.  If issues persist it may be your computer, as tablets and phones will rarely have the kind of issues I reading here.

Of course, the opposite is true--you update, the website hasn't yet, but large corporations like QVC make updating a priority, just like most businesses relying on web sales.

For the last 3 or 4 hours I've checked the forum from time to time.  There are no new postings.  Is that what everyone else is experiencing?

I noted that for awhile, the time the same posts were appearing was updated but that stopped about an hour or so ago.

Just checking if it's just my feed or whether others see a board that is stagnant.

I noticed this a few days ago.  I thought that people were just not posting anything.

Some of you may remember Andriatoo.  She posted pictures of herself in her purchases.  She had lovely hair and appeared fairly young.  Her original post is still going called Outfit if the Day, If You Dare.  Years back someone mentioned she had passed.  Very sad to see her name still there as the original poster.

Re: NO NEW POSTINGS ON FORUM

@Desertdi

I have been with Cox for over 25 years.  A few years ago, I had increasing problems with pixilation and other malfunctions on my TV's.  They kept sending "subcontractors" up here to try and fix what was wrong

( I have 4 TV's). Many times the problem WORSENED after those visits.

Finally, I got a tech who appreciated my dismay and told me he was going to "elevate" my problem so that Cox's highly trained technical team could assist me.  MY WHOLE WORLD CHANGED WITH COX ON THAT DAY.

A very knowledgeable guy (military background) stayed most of the day rewiring and doing what had to be done to make sure all 4 sets were working at optimal capacity.

They also assigned me a "manager" (live) whom I could call and get assistance should any other problems arise.  He was GREAT!  If something came up, i'd text Anthony and before the day was up, I had a tech up here (there were very few instances of that but I knew if I needed help I could get it.

Anthony left (he was excellent) for greener executive pastures but before he did, he called me and told me a new guy would be my point person to assist me in keeping my bill manageable and giving me access to a tech team.

I will never leave Cox (although I hate the Yahoo email)

I never heard of "DIRECT TECH", BUT it sounds GREAT!

I was thinking as well, this is the first weekend after the first of the month. Usually this is a busy, busy time!  Many people recieve retirement, pensions, and SS.  But many who work,  receive  pay checks first and 15th, and around the first, or last working day of the month. That was my pay schedule when I worked for the City, last working day of month. First Saturday of the month was a busy day!  We live in a small town, so we met everyone we knew just about in one of the stores!!  lol!  This is the time Costco , Walmart, Target and grocery stores have largest sales. First week of month.  Longest lines too Also, in our town mny of the sports have started up on Saturdays.  In California where I live, the weather has been good as well!

In June, there's a lot of graduation and wedding activity ...  and who doesn't like to go out when the weather is good?

Actually, I've never found these boards to be hopping on Saturdays.

@Puppy Galore. There are already multiple groups of qvc fans on Facebook.  They come and go pretty rapidly too.

My posts go  through  bizarre changes while I type...disappearing and no way to get it back.  Starting over can be very tryng.

I'm using a windows pc.  Cursor flies all over the place and wornds become highlighted that I didn't highlight.

Also, people have dropped subtle little hints about a place they go to yet they come here too so I guess it's not that exciting.

It's very depressing at times not being able to fully explain something  for fear it will be taken the  wrong way and then put into detention for a few days.

@willowbark.  You have a computer problem, it's not qvc.  Maybe time fo4 a new one?

Re: NO NEW POSTINGS ON FORUM

It could have to do with the weather.  If it's great outside, we like to make use of it.  My guess.  Sometimes, everyone's "appointments" fall on the same day.

@SilleeMee   When some of us found this forum and started posting it may have been when we discovered QVC....decades ago...40 years?

I think some of the regulars got bored with it or just aged out. Some take breaks and come back others not.
