I have had the NINJA 1100 kitchen system for about one month now and I am not impressed! Sure, the price is 1/4 of what you would pay for the "other" kitchen sytem that starts with a "V" but the NINJA is really just a glorified blender in my opinion. The large 70 oz container that comes with it is great for blending drinks for large parties and the smaller container is good for making small batches of dough but if you want a machine that can be put through tough daily use don't purchase this machine.

I tried to make soup in the large container and could not get a smooth consistency.... there were bits of the vegetables that I had to chew after letting the machine run for 4-5 minutes. The blades, although there are a lot of them, are not well designed. Rather than being designed to permit centrifigual force, the blades throw the food against the sides of the container. I actually poured the soup mixture into another blender that I have and it came out smoother than it did using the NINJA. QVC really needs to be truthful about their products and say what they can and cannot do.

So, if you want an 1100 watt blender that sort of acts like a food processor - if you don't already have one- and don't want to make smooth soups but want to make large batches of drinks it's not a bad deal for $100.00 considering what you get. I should have saved my $100.00 and saved money for the next 3 months and bought the machine that I really wanted.
