I was on my one month free trial of Amazon Prime. Today I received a realistic looking email from Amazon Prime. It's fake. If you get one, call Amazon4EF653A2-1BB6-4FF6-A7B4-ACD131D491E1.png
They will not send emails with attachments. When it came I went to the real site and checked my amazon accounts and credit cards and everything was fine. I called Amazon by phone. The CSR said the email is fake and the agent asked me to forward the email to an Amazon email that deals with spoofing.

The email was addressed to my name. It's coincidence that it's from Prime and that my free tria is about to expire. There is only one spelling mistake in the email that is visible in my post. The error is the word 'supporterred' at the very top. I didn't see the error until I was speaking to CS. Stay safe.

@Mindy D

Got the same thing yesterday and just deleted it.

Something like that has come before, and I never, ever, ever open any attachment.

I keep receiving similar emails pretending to be from Apple. I  report them to Apple.

Amazon Security already sent me a letter thanking me for forwarding this to them and the CSR agent sent me a confirmation email about our discussion. Looks like they are taking these seriously.

I wanted to forward it, but....just got lazy and didn't want to spend time looking for an email address.

Will do so today.

This is different because it is so specific to my situation.

I too got that and had put in for a thermometer that was delivered.  My American Express had already cleared the purchase in advance. This way, I knew my purchase had been paid for.
