Where is Mindy?! Miss her!
Just want to make sure everyone saw this awful extensive recall.
10 million lbs sold to stores restaurants and schools!
The extensive list is being constantly updated. It is quite a long list. You can read on most any news.
Sold at Tr Joes, Wegmans, Aldi's, Target, Walmart, Krogers, Giant, Amazon Fresh-basically most stores so far.
They have not said which schools yet. Includes any chicken or meat in salads.
Also Boars Head deli meats still on recall. 10 already died from Boars Head.
If in doubt throw it out because specific items growing with updates.

I have wondered about Mindy, too. I hope she's okay. I believe she lived in Florida.
I usually made a point of buying Boar's Head deli meat:/

Seems like the recalls are becoming more frequent then ever before. I've lost count. I've been strictly Boars head when I buy deli but it's been a while.

The first person I thought of when I heard this on the radio this morning was Mindy. She's been gone for awhile, but I truly hope she and her husband are doing well.

quoted from article
" Authorities first announced the recall last week, but have since expanded it to cover more than one million additional pounds of meat and poultry products. That amounts to hundreds of items from dozens of popular brands, sold at over a dozen grocery chains across the country.
The USDA also confirmed this week that the products have been distributed to schools and says it will post a school distribution list on its website once one is available.
The recalled products include salads, wraps, pasta bowls, burritos, enchiladas and many other ready-made frozen and family meals, and come from brands including Fresh Express, Rao’s, Boston Market, Atkins, Dole, ReadyMeals, Taylor Farms, Home Chef and Signature Select.
The stores that carry them include Aldi, Amazon Fresh, Giant Eagle, H-E-B, Kroger, Meijer, Publix, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Wegmans and 7-Eleven.
The affected goods were produced between May 31 and Oct, 8 and bear the establishment numbers “51205” or “P-51205” either inside or underneath the USDA mark of inspection. But BrucePac cautioned that the number is only on packages it ships directly to customers, not retail packages. "
“Because we sell to other companies who resell, repackage, or use our products as ingredients in other foods, we do not have a list of retail products that contain our recalled items,” the company said in a statement, adding that the best way for people to identify contaminated products is through the USDA website or by calling the company or retailer from which they got the package. "

That's a very poor warning as it give no clue as to what's wrong with the meat, what are the symptoms one would get, how many have been sickened or died?
It basically says nothing.
Guess I'll go out and shoot a squirrel.

The recall is from listeria and most all the news reports I read did describe all the symptoms of listeria, what to watch for etc.
But all of them did not seem as clear as the usual recalls but maybe that is because it is so huge and is still being updated plus they said they would list schools when they had that information.
There were some specific products listed but a very long list and very hard to read with blurry pictures.
I went to the usda site and wasn't able to see any specifics on there, just lots of links that didn't seem to show specifics.
Each article was long but I kept reading many because I was trying to find better info.
I just saw this today so they may not have info on any deaths if any yet.
Anyway, everyone check out the news.
I hope it will have more info in next days.
