Here in my location in the pacific northwest, our snowpack is running at 10% right now. That means our summer water from runoff will be 90% below normal. Farmers are already worrying.

Not to mention our hydro powered energy.

So, Someone is making money on Carbon Credits and someone is making money selling green items to companies to offset buying carbon credits. Follow the money.

Do you do that about oil?

How about fracking?

Follow the money can be said about anything in life. A brilliant comment, it is not.

Fracking is done on private lands. These companies employ thousands of Americans with great paying jobs. States that do much of the fracking have had booms to the areas. Are you against great paying jobs Noel? Also, the abundance of natural gas and oil has lowered prices for us at the gas station and in home heating prices. Again, Noel are you against lowered prices?

Private lands??? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Booms?? At what cost??? Wow

Another train carrying crude in an accident... How many is this in the past few years?

Your hydro electricity comes from Grand Coulee Dam which is water from the Columbia. You should be fine.

They'd better start working on ways to desalinize sea water.

So I guess the Skagit and Snake river dams are to be ignored. Sorry, my hydro electric comes from Ross Dam, in the Cascade Mountain range where there is hardly any snow.

There are other dams on the Columbia also.... If your state was so worried about lack of electricity they wouldn't be blowing up dams like the Elwah.

Some of the dams are obsolete at this point. However, I was quoting what my local news has been reporting regarding our lack of snow pack and the worry about drought and hydro electric power. I didn't just pull it out of the air. The Columbia River is not the only river in my state that provides hydro electric power, and the river and dam close to me is the Skagit and Ross Dam, not the Columbia. But hey, what do I know. I've lived here all my life.

Yes, and the wires connect to alternative sources for your power... That's how the grid works. I lived there for 45 years. I know how it works too.

I guess that makes you the total expert. But don't tell me I'll be okay because I get my power from Grand Coulee and the Columbia because that is patently UNTRUE.

OK, If your source goes out are you saying you will have no power?
