My two rules at HomeGoods…

So my two rules when shopping at HomeGoods are No Glass because I drop things, and No Glitter because I keep finding it months later.

So how do I come home and find glitter in my hair? It's like I'm a magnet for it.

No, but it was probably on something I did pick up to check a price.

My two rules at Home Goods are:  try not to go too often and try my best when I do not to buy unnecessary things I don't need.

@Etoile308

My one rule for a visit to Homegoods when I used to go there:

Do Not Take a Shopping Cart ( ! ) ....or you will fill it.

At almost 80, I have been donating a lot of things or giving to my niece for her development's yard sales.  She uses the cash to build gift baskets for law enforcement families.

@Etoile308   My one rule for Home Goods is the same rule I use for QVC:  Do not buy anything at any price that I will not use as soon as it's in my house.

The days when I bought too much of many kinds of products just because I liked them, not because I knew how I'd actually use them.  That's no longer a luxury that suits me or the next generations in my family.  Less is more now.

I agree. I don't buy items with glitter anymore. It keeps shedding glitter any time I dust it. And, items don't really need glitter to look pretty.

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I actually don't care for Home Goods.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I like HG a lot.  However, before making a purchase I think about it.  I've learned to not impulse buy on anything anymore.
