I went there yesterday, there were shelves in quite a few departments, empty mostly house hold products, cleaning,laundry,  dish towels, and what really concerned me ,is there were workers  two,and three at a time in the ailes, at one point i said to one set of people, please move over .

DD found out the hard way that WalMart is back to not allowing refunds or exchanges for clothing items, so be aware when you're buying those items, you may be stuck with them.

I was at my local WM yesterday- quick in and out. Kind of anoyed that there is only one entrance/ exit open for the whole super center. I guess they are monitoring wearing of face masks as well as total occupancy. For someone with a bad knee the extra walking was not fun.

That actually makes sense to me, with this virus.

My local Walmart is remodeling. I went there the other day and they had about 5 registers open. I have not see lines like that since the last time I was at Busch Gardens! I walked right back out. No way am I waiting that long for a couple items.

Sounds like they may have been doing a 'modular reset' where the shelves are reconfigured to present a new selection of merchandise.  This time of year it would be to present fall-themed items.  This knowledge is from my days as a Walmart employee about 20 years ago, so take it for what it's worth.

I was in mine on Sunday and it reminded me of shopping back in say late Feb.  All the shelves were full including the paper towel and toilet paper aisle.  Not a single empty spot in the entire aisle.  It was beautiful to see stacks of all and many many choices of brands.  Almost normal if you did not look at the masks.  If someone is too close I just get what I need quickly and move on.  I can only control my own actions not others.  Most people do make room for passing them or they hurry along anyway to give space to others.  It is such take turns kind of shopping time down each and every section of a store now.

@deepwaterdotter

You're probably right!

DH went to Kroger yesterday and all of the live plants for sale hanging in the front of the store have been  replaced with ceramic PUMPKINS and JACK-'O-LANTERNS.

Could well be, it did look odd to me ,all those empty shelves.

When I went Monday they were almost out of TP and PT again. Still no hand wipes but they did have sanitizer. Canned soup and vegs were mostly gone.  They had only the one entrance open again after having both open for about a month or more.
