My hip hurts so bad! Need advice

I have lots of back problems, but last week my hip started hurting and now I have to use crutches, as I can't walk. It is one of the worst pains I have ever had. I called the doctor, but can't get in until Monday. Could it be a pinched nerve or what, to come on like that??

I can't take pain pills, as they make me so ill. Any suggestions to get through the weekend?
