And on my porch I find a woman my age and a pretty teenage girl. They are well dressed and attractive and very polite. The woman is holding what appears to be a bible.

The woman introduces herself and the girl and acknowledges that I might be busy but could she have a minute of my time and ask me one question;

"Should religion and politics mix?"

Whaaaatttt???? I don't know her from Adam and she wants me to engage in a philosophical political discussion on my doorstep right now???? (Now my dad would have invited her in and talked her ear off until she rued the day she was born...lol)

I very politely thought that the question was not a subject I was prepared to discuss with a stranger on my doorstep. I told her that her question had the potential for some people to lead to inflammed passions (lol, I know that just from being here on Viewpoints) and I wished her a good day.

Who are these People?????? Why do church organizations think sending this nice lady door to door is a good idea??? What is the goal???
