My best friend passed away...

My best friend passed away two hours ago. I'm so sad and trying not to cry in front of my other dog. But I miss her so much, I'm almost in shock because her death was so unexpected. Late this afternoon she went into shock. I checked her gums and they were very pale and cold. Her tongue looked pale too. I just knew something was wrong. I took her to the nearest ER hospital and they took her temp. 97.8. To make a long story short, they suspected she was bleeding internally somewhere. They took her in for surgery. During the surgery a doctor came out and told me they had found she had many tumors in her liver and would eventually continue bleeding to death. So I made the most difficult, heart wrenching decision to put her sleep. She was the sweetest, smartest dog I've ever known. R.I.P NINA! I'll always love you. {#emotions_dlg.wub}
