Yes, dear reader, you read that right: The local Walmart has not a single tater tot in stock. Not the Great Value brand, not Ore-Ida, not McCain's, and not even any of the ones that do strange things with cauliflower. Just chilly, gaping planks where there should have been piles of my dear friends in #2 and #5 bags.

I did, however, nab the penultimate can of Lysol spray disinfectant, as well as a container of 35 Lysol wipes. There were  more Clorox wipes, but the Lysol were cheaper and only a few were left. I also got another bottle of Clorox Clean-Up. There was a limit of 1 item per category, a lower cap than I recall previously.

There were rows and rows of bleach, but all I spotted were generic labels. A family was having a teaching moment with their toddler in front of the display, so I didn't check closely.

The TP was fully stocked, but paper towels were pathetic. I got a four-pack of Sparkle just to have some when the Brawny runs out.

Canned soup looks good, WM house brand and all the  majors, and prices haven't been raised. The flour shelves were full--Gold Medal AP, King Arthur AP, bread, and another type, and all kinds of other choices. It looked normal. (You can buy White Lily on their website, BTW.)

Pizza shelves were full, as well as frozen vegetables.

I guess I should consider myself lucky! I just got a big bag of McCain's tots in my last Shop Rite order. I was planning on making a sausage,egg and cheese tot casserole this weekend. (it will be in the 40's overnight and the cooler weather makes me hungry for comfort food). Now I may have to re-think and ration my tots. Just kidding, hope you can find them!

Your post header got me excited. I immediately thought that Walmart was maybe not allowing small children in the store.....

@Goldengate8361, that's what I thought, too. :-)

@Goldengate8361   LOL  Well, I didn't get excited but I was wondering if there was a sign:

Masks are mandatory to enter the store.

Children are optional.

Re: My Walmart is totless.

I shopped today and my store was out of things you wouldn't expect. These were just things on my list so I don't know about other items. Red wine vinegar, craisens, pumpkin, coarse ground pepper, lower salt canned tomatoes, and brown rice. On the plus side Rao's sauce was on sale, however almost everything else was a higher price than last trip. I did score a lovely pumpkin for the porch , I hope I had the right outfit on ! 🎃

And I thought maybe they ran out of totes.

@noodleann

I’m just very happy that I assumed you meant there were no children at your WM. lol The thought that you were referring to something to eat never occurred to me.

Seems as though I heard something about a potato shortage recently but I can't remember why.

LOL! That's exactly what I thought!
