Re: My QVC / UPS package was smashed into my mail box

Ok....    I don't know how much strength it takes o make a phone call or send an email.  But if you cannot summon it up, that's ok.

Re: My QVC / UPS package was smashed into my mail box

I'll bet your package was shipped UPS SurePost, which means UPS hands it over to USPS and they deliver it.  Your tracking comes from UPS but will say UPS SurePost somewhere on the information. I don't think UPS is allowed to leave anything in your mailbox.

I've had USPS stuff two boxes into my mailbox that I couldn't get out.  I had to cut the boxes open and get them out that way.

Re: My QVC / UPS package was smashed into my mail box

I have had packages stuffed into my large mailbox so tight that it was difficult to get it out. It was as if it was nearly stuck.

We do have a drive way and usually, its not a problem for the mail carrier to bring it up here. I think the problem arises when it is not my normal carrier.

That business of the temptations being in so many pieces is just awful. That looks as if it has been dropped on tile or had a hammer taken to it or something.

I am sure it was UPS I paid the 3.50 charge on UPS my choice to have to package delivered directly via UPS

That's not a put-down of UPS.  That's just to say that what they will probably tell you is that you need to contact the shipper (QVC) and file a claim.

BTW, are you sure it didn't go from UPS to USPS and was delivered through USPS?   I ask because I don't think UPS can put parcels in peoples' mailboxes, can they?

@chrystaltree

I have medical issues and I have no strength to deal with stupidity. If I waste my time making the call it will limit my strength to do important thinks like make dinner..

Really must you question people

Interesting.  I wonder if it didn't go through.   I've had that happen.   BTW, for $40 a YEAR you can have an account with UPS where you can choose to have these types of parcels automatically upgraded at no additional cost.  You don't have to choose that option and can just go in on a one at a time basis and upgrade if you want.  I do like the automatic choice and it works great.  I find it handy for that and other features.

I recently had an hsn order.  I hardly ever order from them.  But, anyway, it was a SurePost shipment and UPS emailed me that this shipment was not able to upgrade.  I found that really odd.  Never had that happen before.

You can know for sure by going through the tracking.

Re: My QVC / UPS package was smashed into my mail box

The USPS subs for my cluster mailbox will do anything possible to squeeze a package into my mailbox.  There has been more than one occasion where I had to run up the street to get him to come back to get a package out for me that was wedged into my mailbox so tightly that I couldn't get it to budge.  The regular guy walks across the street and puts packages on my porch and then rings the doorbell to let me know a package has arrived.

@chickenbutt

It did go thru there was no transfer to the Post Office, my mail man would have the "brains" to leave the package on the radiator
