@Desertdi - LOL.  Someone on these boards a while ago mentioned Tek Gear and their fleece sweatshirts.

I decided to try one (from Kohl's).  I liked it so much I now have either 15 or 17 (lost count) in almost every color they have!  And if they come out with another color I like, I'll buy that, too.

And a friend who visited this fall, liked mine so much, she bought three for herself.  (She had to limit herself because of what she could get in her suitcase flying home.)

So...some of us do buy one in every color!  Woman Very Happy

Re: My New Years Resolution

[ Edited ]

@Desertdi - Don't do it!!!  If you like the first one, you'll order more.  I guarantee it.  (But make sure you get them on sale.)

(Just realized, I'm wearing a Tek Gear sweatshirt and joggers right now.  It's my at home go-to.)

Tek Gear!  I love this brand --- it's the best!  Functional, sturdy and attractive!

I'm making no resolutions!  I've tried for years -- I can't stick to them and then I just get upset with myself.  It's not worth it.

I just try to do the best I can each day.  Some days are better than others.  That's just life.

I don't really do resolutions, but I do have a goal this year to work towards.  Somehow resolutions always were way too much out of reality.  Therefore, the goal works better for me I think.

As a few posters have mentioned having many tops, so do I.  However, the number for winter and for summer is much, much lower than what I read here !  The number of pants: dress and daily=8; jeans=2.

Sweaters and ponchos have grown over the last two years and seem to replace need for " light " coats.

I keep my closet free from clutter and donate.  A lot of the stuff in stores and on line isn't as nice as what's in my closet.  My niece happily agrees !

As for the resolution item: two years ago I stopped doing the lunchtime special browsing.  I recently was bored and thought I'd check it out.  Wasted time: glad I stopped and will stay stopped !

With rooms full of stuff and possibly even more " stored " how much time gets wasted trying to find something to wear ?  And, if it's stored, do you really think it has a chance to ever get worn ?

Besides being a time management issue, in today's world it may be time to prune and share via donation to all the worthy, suffering folks, veterans, homeless, job-searching graduates, etc.

@Venezia , I don't know if I'm that  poster, however I know that I did post about Tech  Gear and I'm glad you like the line .  I love sharing a good find !

Hello everyone!

I also have way too many tops and pants, along with many other items (bags, shoes, make up, skin care, household items, etc.)  I feel very fortunate to have so much and like the OP, I have decided to chill on the shopping.

As for the NYR, I do have some goals, but I didn't wait for the new year.  Any time is a good time to recognize it's time to change the way I've been doing something.  I regularly make new goals for myself or revisit the same old goals that I still have not acheived.

Wishing everyone good luck with whatever they are working on!!

Great Point !  I am a true believer in donations for those in need. I have already made 3 donations to Goodwill  over the past 3 months including coats, sweaters, pants and tops. It always feels good to be able to bless someone

else who may not be able to afford those items to stay warm this winter.   Thanks for your post !
