My New Kitchen Is Officially In Operation..........

Hi all. Pretty sad week with news of Lee Bice's death, the Anthony trial, the Arizona and Southwest Weather; good grief.

I was trying to stay positive and focus on my own good fortune with a new job and getting settled in. I love my new place, and Western NY had a beautiful Holiday weekend weather-wise. I had a few details to finish (you know, pictures hung, curtains up, bookcase assembled, the "Parrot" Welcome sign that says Welcome to Paradise that I got in Florida {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} needed to be hung up)....etc.

So I made some strombolli (2 veggie, 2 pepperoni) and took them to the rental office. Guess what?? The maintenance guys are now my BFF's and all is done {#emotions_dlg.laugh}.

Well, I guess that would be BMF's (4 of 5 of them shave their heads bald, so that could stand for Best Male Friends or Bald Male Friends but they're all adorable {#emotions_dlg.blush}).

So that's what I've made recently that was a BIG hit. A little too carby and doughy for me, so tonite it's a big salad with some leftover sliced sirloin.

Oh....and thanks to all the wine lovers out there who recommended some great stuff; I really like the Kendall Jackson chard and pinot grigio recommended by Win and I think doxie.

So what's for dinner, everyone??
