Did you see how Rhonda was crying because she resisted 10 years of being with him?

Looks like she regrets the missed opportunity of being wife 1...I think that is a bit of a status position.

Not just status. Legally, only one wife is recognized. That would impact her and her children's health insurance, social security, income tax filing status and any retirement benefits that the husband is entitled to. Also, if he didn't designate otherwise-she would be the one to make decisions about his health care if he became incapacitated, AND, she would be the only one permitted to visit him in the hospital.

Hi lacey you are so right about the above...I would be very interesting to see what will happen when these men pass and what will come of the other wives. Can you imagine what each wife will go thru and the pressure the 1st wife will be under as well to make it all work or if she chooses to walk away? This is why this life style is a mess with our current laws.

I have no interest in watching those types of shows. I don't understand why anybody would want to live like that.

I don't see the comparison to same SE x marriages either. Sorry.

Marriage is about commitment to one person, regardless of gender, IMHO.

The comparison is that neither is what many consider "traditional" marriage.

I started watching the show and it is sort of interesting.

I think Nonie is crazy and never in a good mood. PMS 24/7.

Rosemary seems to be the only one that is happy so lucky. I like her, she just goes with the flow. The first wife (Paulie) never looks happy and I think would prefer to be the only one.

What does the husband do for a living that he can pick up and move to a different state just like that? I do think he does a great job with being a loving husband and father, as best he can under the circumstances. He does have a way with them.

Rosemary had no problem opening up all those bottles of wine, there were a ton of opened bottles. Probably the most fun they have had in a long time. I was wondering who was watching the 24 kids. What if there was an emergency, they were all drunk.

I actually think he's a much more involved and caring guy than Kody is.

You never hear Kody say I love you to any of them...even his kids. It's like he's the peacock and all the hens are there at his disposal.

This guy (forgot his name) is very loving to them all. I just don't see how he can keep it all together without keeling over.

One of the wives clearly looks like she doesn't fit in...Paulie I think. Nor does she try.

Brad...I think?

Paulie is the 1st and legitimate wife. I find her very pretty.

Thanks!

I agree with your post. Why any man would want this is crazy...or woman for that matter. Too many personalities and emotions to deal with. Whew!

Can you imagine PMS times 5? Run for the hills.

No! Yikes...

Here is a list of the wives and which number of marriage they were:

Brady Williams and his five wives numbered in order of their marriages Paulie, Robyn, Rosemary, Nonie and Rhonda

Yikes, that dude must buy the little blue vitamin in bulk! {#emotions_dlg.scared}
