First of all I want to extend my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Dixie.

I can totally related to the intense pain and heartache that you are feeling right now as I have been down that same dark and terrible road many times before and will be again at some point as I'm currently "mommy" to five kitties, all of whom I rescued.

Please try to find solace and comfort in the fact that Dixie knew how very much you loved her, that she was surrounded by that same love when you sent her to The Bridge with dignity and in peace and that she's now happily running like a puppy with all of her new friends through the sunlit meadows of that most blessed place on the other side of The Bridge.
