Both SS and Medicare are a form of insurance just like car insurance. Not everyone will get back what they paid in, some will die before they reach retirement age, while others will get much more back just like those who never have an accident get nothing back, while others crash their car and collect much more.

 

This is not the same as endangering others, getting help that costs all of those who pay taxes and may cost an officer his life. One time should be enough for anyone.
