[Vamp]

Has anyone else seen this? I just caught two episodes last night. I was really fascinated by this culture--I had no idea they existed in the UK (I believe they called them Irish Travellers). Those huge dresses were crazy!! I saw the episode where Josie & Swanley got married and the other one I watched was the marriage of Sam (non-traveller) & Pat (traveller). Sam wore a huge pink dress that had a bunch of lights in it, so she glowed in the dark!! These wedding & first communions give a new meaning to over-the-top.

It was really interesting to me that at Josie's bachelorette party the teenage girls dressed like hookers, but they have very strict rules in their culture such as not being able to go out in public alone and being virgins when they marry. It was also very sad, I thought, to see some of the communities of these people destroyed.
