My Amazon Fresh order was so easy.

[ Edited ]

Ordering from Fresh for me was much easier than ordering from Publix delivery by Instacart. The price of my order was much cheaper and there was no delivery charge or service fee. I have Prime which is why. They gave me a delivery time and the delivery was on time.  I added a tip. Everything was delivered in large, thick brown bags. The bags stood up, so there were no items falling out all over the place. This is a big improvement over the plastic Publix grocery bags. This made it much easier to put the food away. I did no have to stay on my iPad working with the shopper while he was shopping the way I've had to do with Publix. Everything listed for sale was actually in stock, unlike Publix. Every time I shop with Publix Instacart they are out of things listed and substitutions are required. This turns every order into a PIA for me.
One item, from Fresh, Johnsonville Beer Brats, is sold as a frozen item , but it arrived almost defrosted or defrosted, I'm not sure which since it's in the packaging. I didn't know whether to refrigerate or freeze it.  I contacted Amazon Customer Service  and was told that they would be happy to deliver a new package to me tomorrow. I'm shocked that they would do this for one item. They also gave me the choice of a refund. I was going to just keep it and stick it in the fridge. The CSR did not know whether it was safe to put the brats back in the freezer or not. Anyway, I'm satisfied, so far.

Re: My Amazon Fresh order was so easy.

I tried Inst cart but the pricing is much higher than the stores.. I would shop with them at Bjs and each item could be more than three dollars and up.. So I switched to Amazon Fresh.. the only thing is they are becoming more popular ..If I go to place an order its now two days out.. and lately I have had to pick a one hour or two hour delivery for whatever day.. and it cost me 4.99 or 9.99 and I  don't understand that since I am an Amazon Prime member.. but you are correct their customer service people are great and make sure you get what you ask for or they will ask if you want a credit or have another order put in at no cost on items messed up.. I stick mostly with them now. they have been great to work with .

I've been using Amazon Fresh this past year, too.  Even though my local ShopRite seems to be very well stocked now, I keep going back to Amazon.  My only complaint is that there's always a good chance my bread is smashed!

I wish I could use Amazon Fresh but not available in my area.  We have a distribution center less than 10 miles away, but I guess that is not an option for them.

Re: My Amazon Fresh order was so easy.

I've used Amazon Fresh for about 3 years now. I did have to go to Instacart when the pandemic first started as I could NOT get a delivery date from Amazon.

I recently went back to them. I'm quite pleased. But, I don't like the fact you can't add to your order once it's complete and before it's shopped/delivered. You can, though, cancel the whole order and then reorder all the items instantly and add whatever it is you missed.

The service is not available in my area.  Think I'll call and ask for a partial refund on my Prime fee.

@Kachina624    I don't have Prime.    I keep a shopping list on their site, and when I add up to $25 for FREE SHIPPING......I place the order.    They finally opened a warehouse here, and I get my delivery in a couple days......

Amazon is building 2 big warehouses here so I hope they offer groceries when done.

Re: My Amazon Fresh order was so easy.

Thank you for mentioning this. I'm really tired of shopping at my chain grocery store and all those plastic bags. I do appreciate the ease of picking up an order there, but delivery works too!   How do you do this, through Amazon's website?
