Enjoy if you can visit.  This is an awesome festival.  We always stay at the Sayre Mansion.  The music and food is wonderful.

it's a great place that has something for everyone.  I wish I was going this year.

Opening with Carlos Santana--can't beat that!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I live in Central NJ, but 2 of my sons went to Lehigh.  One son stayed in the Lehigh Valley after he graduated.

He goes to Musikfest every year and  says that it is really good.

I have never been to Musikfest, but maybe I should go one year.

Chicago is the headliner tonight!!!

The festival has really expanded over the past few years.  It has extended into the Steel Stacks area (part of the original Bethlem Steel).  Our local cable company carries some events live every day.

Staying at Sayre Mansion Inn must be wonderful!!!!  Beautiful setting!

I saw the commercial on a Philly station, but don't know anything about it.  Don't even know where Bethlehem is.  Well, I know where one Bethlehem is....lol.

They're playing Jethro Tull during the commercial.  Does that mean Tull is playing at the Musikfest?  Saw them about 7 times, back in the day.

Not sure of the line up.  Go to Musikfest.com and you can get all of the info.

Bethlehem is part of the Lehigh Valley, not as far as the Poconos.  From the Philadelphia area it's pretty easy to get to.  Takes about an hour.  Parking is really the only issue, however, there are various places listed to park and a shuttle bus takes you right to the venue.

Main St in Bethlehem, in the historic district, is only open to foot traffic.  Add'l side streets around there have lots to do.  Plus, they have extended to the Steel Stacks area for add'l food, crafts, music, etc, as well as the main stage.

Basically, it is a large street festival that started as an ethnic event.  In years past, it was mostly polka music.  Now, there are all sorts of bands playing everyday throughout the day at various places.  So far, the weather has cooperated;  everything is outside.

We don't get there too often.  My husband prefers to sit at home and watch on TV.  We go in the afternoons before it gets to crowded and we can be home before dark.  Just because that's how it goes at our age.

Thats not too far from me. My brother always goes. But unfortunately I dont because i can no longer hike it w my back. So I dont trust getting tickets because my back is undependable. But Id love to go. I could spend the entire week there. I love music. I hope you enjoy it. I saw this year they have Chicago and Santana among many more.

Yes, Jethro Tull is there on Aug. 13th. They said most of the concerts sold out ahead of time though.
