The first two juveniles of a group of seven suspected of beating a 73-year-old man to death with traffic cones turned themselves in to the police today.
The two were 10 and 14 years old.
The man had just crossed the street. A typical 73-year-old. The incident was recorded on video.
I guess we'll learn more soon.

It was a terrible thing - on the video they seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Fun night, right? it's so scary. Surprised any of them turned themselves in - are they being held?

All the perps should get lengthy jail time and the parents should be charged for child neglect and be given serious consequences as well. Despicable.

The police put out a $20k award.
The local news never did say "who" turned the 2 boys in.
If the 14 yr old doen't tell the cops of the others who were involved, you can bet your bottom dollar, the 10 yr old will. The police will scare him or her so bad, that he/she would turn in their own mother!

The police will scare them so badly? Wow, just wow.
Especially since suspects of those ages are required to have a parent or guardian present during questioning.

How do children that young become so violent and callus? What is happening in our society or homes to create such deranged monsters. My heart goes out to the family of the 73 year old.
Today on the news, there were two small children in Minnesota taunting two police officers. They looked like they were wearing diapers or underwear. They kept hitting them and the officers kept backing away. I would guess they were 4 or 5 years old. It makes me wonder where are their parents.
We have some serious problems in our country. No respect for life. Parents should be held accountable for their child's actions and face prosecution.
