Re: Murdaugh-Bak In Court 2day-Financial Crimes

The Satterfield Family settled with five parties, not including Murdaugh, and have received 6.5 million dollars to date.

@paixmcdao   I knew that an attorney agreed to represent them but didn't know that his claims reached fruition for the Satterfield family.

I wonder who provided the funding?  It must have been an insurance company; however, since the original claim was already paid out I'm not sure on what basis another (or the same) insurance company paid out again?

Was it the insurance company that insured the Murtaugh law firm where Alex was a partner?

If there's any justice in this world some prisoner will give him the punishment he really deserved.

Re: Murdaugh-Bak In Court 2day-Financial Crimes

I read the housekeeper's death was covered under homeowners liability policy. I can't imagine how they can ever untangle the mess he created with years of swindling and cheating so many people out of so much money. The only one who deserves any sympathy at this point is his surviving son, who may not end up with a dime of his father's estate, since it will be dissolved. Why try him on fed charges at this point? No way every one of his victims will see repayment

To kill his own son like that takes a special kind of evil. He's like the devil incarnate!
