If he put goldfish in the pond, there wouldn't be a mosquito problem.

Oh how nice it is to have an acreage with no neighbors with ""ponds"" on their property. And since I spend my time in a glassed/screen in 4 season patio room? Even when I mow and take care of our land and trees this little bastxxxs don't seem to be a problem here at our place.

I heard the other night to put a fan where you are sitting and it blow the bugs away.

My Mother always used "Skin So Soft" from Avon and never one bite.

Also, don't wear any perfume or lotions while you are outside. Bugs love the floral ones.

They are horrible here this spring and the ticks as well.

I spray myself and the kids with Deep Woods Off and Cutters before we go outdoors and we still get a few bites.

It's time to call an exterminator.

My mom, who lived about a mile from me on a golf course with sprinklers and ponds, apparently was bitten and died of West Nile Virus in 2003. There was a pond about 400 ft from the house where they were not aerating the water as they were supposed to be doing. Perfect breeding place for mosquitos and a health hazard.

I am so sorry about your Mom, how sad, if only they had done what they were supposed to do.

Thanks Jannabelle. The sad part was that mom was legally blind and her only pleasure was sitting on the patio overlooking the golf course in the evenings. As far as I know she was the only person from the Albuquerque metro area to ever die of the disease.

There is a product out there called Mosquito Dunks. Maybe you could slip over and drop them in the pond?Mosquito Dunks, 6pk

Maybe a Bug Zapper?
