We haven't had power since 6:00 Friday night. Dominion Energy has no estimate for when power will be restored. I'm using my cell phone's hot spot feature to go online. A few of our neighbors had some limbs down from their trees, but ours were fine. As we drove to get breakfast this morning, we were shocked at the amount of damage we saw. Numerous trees had toppled over and others were split down the middle. The damage and power outages seemed to be sporadic. In one area, it looked like the leaves were stripped from the trees - reminiscent of the 2012 derecho. We're getting a Generac as soon as we can!

I just heard about the SL/KY storms this morning.  OMG!  Baseball size hail

We haven't had any stormy weather lately, but we lost power for nearly 3 hours night before last.  Fortunately, it was around 10pm and the house stayed cool enough the whole time.  We still don't know what happened.  A year ago we had a really bad storm and lost power for 3 days   DH decided to be tough and stay home to clean up the property.  The dogs and I went to a hotel.

We've been talking about a Generac.  I'm hoping it's a purchase in our near future.
