Doesn't bother me. Practical.

How many should I get for the gift closest? I am sure the teachers, bus drivers, my boss, my friends, and mailperson will like it.
(it is practical though)

When a loved one has passed, it is convenient to have all of the needed information in one place, so that nothing is forgotten.
How many times have people here wondered about what happened to a certain poster?
If their loved one had the info to drop a post here to let us know, then we could send our condolences and know.
That may sound stupid, but when one is grieving and dealing with a loss, it's easy to overlook something, simply because they don't have the information.
So, if it's all in one place, that makes it easier for them.
Nothing wrong with that.
My dad didn't talk much or share information and didn't like questions. He used to always say, "You'll find out when I'm gone" but unfortunately my brother found the will before anyone was there and burned it. All I can say is, guess he didn't like what it said. Sad. I would have liked to have know what my dad wanted us to know after he was gone.

I like it and I'd use it.

I think it's tacky, disrespectful and rather curt. I understand the thought behind it, but the title needs to be changed.

I bought one several years ago and filled out all pertinent information on my husband and myself. Our girls are familiar with it, and subsequently bought one of the books and filled it out as well. Regardless of the title, I expect the book will be very valuable to our girls after one of us dies.

It's a great idea. It will make life so much easier for those left behind. There are so many things that need to be taken care of when someone dies and it can take months to get everything settled. It's a reality that needs to be faced.
